Covid-19 is a new disease that has not been previously identified in humans. Covid-19 is highly contagious and can cause a cough, fever, and/or difficulty breathing. Symptoms may take up to 14 days to appear after exposure to Covid-19. It is a was first detected in Wuhan, China and has been spreading since December 2019. The outbreak was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization on March 11th, 2020 (Nether, Dyrdak, Durelle, Hodcroft & Albert, 2020). Canada has 16,498 cases as of April 6th, 2020. (WorldoMeter, 2020)
